~The only way out is on the canvas~

Welcome to our new blog...there are two of us creating this site about our bi-weekly painting experience. If you've ever felt you've painted yourself into a corner...you're not alone. We're right there with you and we've decided the only thing to do while waiting for the floor to dry is to change a mistake into a learning experience. You’ve got the paint at hand…do something with it!

Our goal is to get out of our heads; into our hearts and onto the canvas.
Join us in the corner with your creative tools and see what you come up with sharing your comments and experiences. Our criteria for the next project and our results for the previous project will be posted bi-weekly along with our personal comments.

We've chosen to use the project cards from the book "The Artist's Muse" by Betsy Dillard Stroud.
The criteria for this first challenge are as follows:
1) Subject of the painting is keys
2) Monochromatic palette with addition of black, white and grey
3) Design elements include wet-into-wet underpainting and applying random shapes using drafting tape (which are to be removed); draw or paint your subject and if you wish add more tape in subsequent layers.
